Catholic saints are holy people and human people who lived extraordinary lives. Each saint the Church honors responded to God's invitation to use his or her unique gifts. God calls each one of us to be a saint...Millions of people have come to the spring Bernadette uncovered for healing of body and spirit, but she found no relief from ill health there. Bernadette moved through life, guided only by blind faith in things she did not understand—as we all must do from time to time. ~Catholic.org This is a beautiful bracelet, colorful and versatile. The pewter colored medal shows our Blessed Mother on one side, and an illustration of the Marian apparition in Lourdes with Bernadette Soubouris on the reverse. The medal can be worn as a reminder that the saints are wonderful intercessors of our intentions. Saint Bernadette did not understand her own suffering, nor did she understand the reactions of others to the beautiful messages from her apparitions of the Blessed Mother. Still, she had great faith and devotion. I have asked Saint Bernadette to intercede on my behalf for various intentions. She is a wonderful role model and example of humility and piety.
